ACT-8

The Kiss ACT-8 Series Spindle Capper is based on a heavy duty S.S. Frame and includes a Closure Elevator / Orientor and 8 Spindle Sets for High Speed 3-shift operation. This robust design reduces the need for maintenance to almost zero while increasing the capability and adjustability of the capper to accommodate closures from 10mm – 120 mm with little to no modifications. The Pneumatic Torque Clutch Design ensures accurate and repeatable torque at any production speed. The ACT-8 Capper is based on a “C” Frame design and can be used with almost any existing conveyor system. Using Powered Head Height Adjustment and Dial Controls for closure and container diameter, set up is quick and easy.

The ACT-8 Capper is available in a Semi-Automatic and Automatic Version that are capable of handling lug and screw type closures and most bottle types including glass, PET, PVC, and other plastics. The Semi-Auto version is ideal for start up operations or retorqueing closures after an Induction Sealer. The Semi-Auto Spindle Capper can be upgraded at any time with a closure orientation assembly to automate the unit.

The ACT-8 Spindle Capper ships standard with an Elevator / Orientor closure orientation system and can operate at production line speeds in excess of 300 cpm. The Bulk Hopper can be upgraded with a high capacity 12 cubic foot bulk hopper. The Elevator / Orientor unit uses ¼ turn captive fasteners for the elevator cleats allowing the unit to be changed over within 10 minutes. Variable Speed Single Gripper Belts are standard with the Capper and can accommodate containers up to 7.5" wide / diameter. Dual, Low Profile, and Double Wide Gripper Belt options are available for higher production rates, torque requirements, or difficult to handle containers. The ACT-8 Capper utilizes an adjustable pneumatic clutch for repeatable and accurate closure torque.

Unit utilizes a single point adjustment cap chute assembly for quick and accurate cap change over. The ACT-8 has adjustable speed control spindles with individual adjustments to accommodate closure diameters from <10mm up to 140mm. The lower belt on Dual Gripper Belts can be removed to provide stability and control over a wide range of container heights, shapes, and wall thicknesses.
