Inside Sales Representative / Capital Equipment Sales

Accutek is a manufacturing leader of packaging machinery. We have experienced increased sales every year through acquisition, market penetration, and organic growth. We specialize in providing an extremely dependable and affordable product to our end users and distributors – single semi-automatic to fully automatic and integrated production lines - usually in weeks.

Accutek has two locations with over 100,000 square feet of Sales, Warehouse and Production.

As a leading global company in providing packaging machinery, and packaging solutions to business and industry, our company has an outstanding opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative in our Vista, California location.

We prefer experience in selling capital equipment but will train the right candidate.

Reporting to the Corporate Sales Manager, these Sales Representative positions will provide service and support to our existing valued account base as well as establishing business with new customers by providing consultative solutions to the customers needs with the latest in equipment technology.

Our customer base ranges from Food, Beverage, Chemical, Personal Care, Nutraceutical, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, and Specialty markets. The wide array of potential customers, large and customizable product line, and aggressive commission structure make this position almost limitless in earning potential!  We already have an extensive database with thousands of warm and hot leads.  We also participate in multiple trade shows per year and have an extensive print media advertising circulation.  With print media and web presence, great machinery and reputation and a heavy repeat customer base, sales leads come to us!  Product knowledge and courteous and complete follow up with customers will allow Sales Reps to be successful.

Sales Representative Duties:

• Maintain generated Sales Leads and ensure effective follow up of the leads.
• Generate sales quotes based on customer needs.
• Proposal follow up and closing skills.
• Attend trade shows, showing our manufactured products to our existing and potential new customers.
• Cold calling target markets that may benefit from our products.
• Convert sales quotes into sales orders.
• Provide in-house support during customer visits to our showroom or product acceptance.
  Visit customers at their site when applicable.
• Responsible for using the computer and software to access databases, quoting and associated software necessary to complete job responsibilities.

 Other requirements are:

• Stable Work History
• Spanish Language a plus (but not required)
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent people skills with the ability to work with a wide range of customers.
• Computer literate with the ability to learn new software programs as required.
• Ability to learn and understand technical information related to our products offered.

Mechanical Engineer / Engineering Manager / Designer / Drafting

The Engineering Department provides Engineering support for a Packaging Machinery manufacturer. Accutek is a fast growing packaging machinery manufacturer located in Vista, CA in two separate location sites. We have experienced increased sales every year through acquisition, market penetration, and organic growth. Accutek specializes in providing an extremely dependable and affordable product to our end users and distributors – single semi-automatic machinery to fully automatic and integrated production lines - usually in weeks.

Accutek Engineering Department uses AutoCAD Inventor – Version 11.  We prefer experience with this CAD Package but will train the right candidates.

There are three primary responsibilities of the Engineering Department:

Machine Design – This side of the department works with the Sales Team and the Company Leadership to decide what new machine or concept we want to add to our product line.  We typically add between 2 and 5 new machines / concepts each year.  Machine design is very important to expanding our product line based on customer needs and industry trends.  Machine design includes conceptual drawings, estimated cost of goods, bench testing of concept, building prototype, complete engineering and Bill of Materials, and then implementing production of new design.  Machine updating and redesign is also important to maximize manufacturing ease, controlling costs (material and man power), and improving on current machine design to increase ease of use and reliability.

Bill Of Material Maintenance – Updating, maintaining, and documenting Bills of Materials – including obsolescence, replacement, and direct cross relationships between Inventory Items, Sub Assemblies, Manufactured Items, and Purchased Items.  Maintaining all associated drawings and documentation for Bill of Materials.

Technical Support – Supporting Production Team, Sales Team, and Customer Service Team to ensure BOM’s are updated, trouble shooting machine functionality, ensuring correct replacement and warranty parts are issued / sold and assisting in creating and updating support documentation, machine operation manuals, machine assembly manuals, and trouble shooting guides.

The listed positions will be part of the growing Engineering Team but each member is self sufficient and must be self motivating.  These positions are a combination of providing leadership, “getting your hands dirty” to assist where needed, and open communication between Sales, Purchasing, and Production to make sure the job gets done.  ALL Engineering Positions have a direct effect on machine design, functionality, and are encouraged to participate in problem solving and application assistance.

Engineering Department reports to the Operations Manager to ensure deadlines / goals are met. Candidates must have working knowledge of all hand tools, general manufacturing background, and machine shop, welding, and sheet metal work is a plus. Other requirements are:
• Stable work history
• Advanced AutoCAD and Cad/Cam experience and use
• Expert ability to read prints and drawings

• Outstanding motivational and communication skills
• Commitment to manufacturing a quality product correctly the first time
• Must be able to multi-task and provide information on all jobs currently in production
• Computer literate – knowledge of Macola a plus
