G1-A Tunnel

Product Variants

G1A Recirculating Shrink Tunnels offer a clean, efficient way to produce gorgeous full-body sleeving and tamper-evident seals. Heat tunnels are fast and efficient machines for sealing or wrapping containers with a full-body shrunk sleeve, tamper-evident band, or a preform and combo-pack bundle.

These tunnels feature energy-efficient infrared quartz and/or convection heat emitters and built-in fully insulated recirculating systems with six six-stage temperature-control zones. These features result in a safer, heat-free working environment, minimal temperature fluctuation, prolonged life, and lower energy consumption than other comparable tunnels.

The G1A excels at shrinking those applications that require full-body labels, high-graphic labels (up to 80% shrink), PET, PETG shrink film, and exotic films to pre-heated bottles. It works best within a clean manufacturing environment, whether for pharmaceuticals or dry-product sleeving projects.

What temperature is best to set the G1A at?

A target temperature range between 300 and 500 degrees Fahrenheit will work for most shrink sleeve material. Depending on the composition of your sleeve, you may need to experiment a little bit. Contact Accutek for more information regarding optimal settings.

How can I avoid bubbling patterns in the wrap?

If you’re referring to the phenomenon that is sometimes known as fish eyes, tiger marks, skewing, stretching, and lightning, it all depends. You may have to factor in the color of your labels and what materials they were manufactured with, along with their shrink ratios.    Contact your label manufacturer to retrieve this information, then pass it on to us so we can best determine how to get your sleeve through the tunnel without any of these effects occurring.

Is the touchscreen difficult to use?

Nope, it’s straightforward to use. The manual will give you a simplified rundown of how to navigate the interface so you can easily operate your G1 heat tunnel.

What separates this from the G1B?

What sets them apart is that the G1A is a little smaller than its counterpart. It has a 6” tunnel, whereas the G1B has a 12” tunnel.

Should I attempt parts changeovers myself?

Only attempt a parts changeover if you’re a qualified electrician or machine operator. If not, consult those people. If they are not available, give Accutek’s service department a call, and we’ll help you out.    The machine’s manual contains a comprehensive breakdown on how to replace the blower motor and heating elements. Again, if you are unsure about how to best carry out this procedure, call us.
