Electrical Assemblers

 

Job Description:


As a team member, the Electrical Assembler position will work closely with the Electrical Lead to properly manufacture all machine automation, custom machinery, and minimum builds per Accutek’s high standards and quality assurance and following customer requirements. 

This position will also assist the Electrical Lead in completing and updating the Compartment Binder, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation. This position will build assemblies and subassemblies per BOM and manufacturing instructions using basic hand and small power tools. The employee must follow industrial schematics. 

This position is responsible for the quality of machines, employee training, and customer service when needed. This position will also assist in assembly, assembly preparation, troubleshooting, applications testing, assembly documentation, and technical support.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties:

  • Assembly of machinery, including, but not limited to: 
    • Components
    • Sub-assemblies

  • Update and maintain all current documentation for accuracy including drawings, BOMs, and process procedures.

Engineering Manager

 

Job Description:

 

The Engineering Manager position will create, update, and maintain all CAD drawings. The position will assign goals and timelines to Engineering team members and hold them responsible. The position will also be responsible for all Accutek companies’ Bill of Materials. This includes (but isn’t limited to) developing and maintaining drawings and Assembly Manuals. This position will be responsible for providing customer technical assistance when needed.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Engineering Department Manager

  • Using guidance from the Accutek Board of Directors, create a quarterly goals list and assign responsibility within the Engineering Department with estimated completion dates.
  • Using the current Production Goals, create assignment lists for the following bases:
    • Daily
    • Weekly
    • Monthly
    • Quarterly 
    • And annually
  • Assign individuals to these assignments and validate progress during and at their completion. Ensure proper timelines are met and assignments are completed correctly and accurately.
  • Ensure that all Bills of Materials are complete and up to date. Advise all other departments of changes, if applicable.
  • Prioritize and assign workloads for various minor engineering projects.
  • Determine authorized access to engineering information and only provide it to allowed personnel.
  • Carry out disciplinary actions to make sure all timelines and assignments are met.
  • Work with and support Production Manager with production/assembly manuals.

 

Draftsman

  • Create, update, catalog, and maintain CAD drawings for every manufactured part used on Accutek Companies Machines. Organize them logically.
  • Create drawings based on existing parts in CAD format.
  • Update or redraw old drawings in current CAD format.
  • Create drawings based on new parts in CAD format.
  • Provide drawings for Purchasing Department RFQ, bidding, and purchasing processes.
  • Create, update, and maintain all machine BOMs and Minimum Build inventory sheets with associated assembly drawings and parts diagrams.
  • Keep all electronic information safe and backed up.

 

Quality Control

  • Check, validate, and sign off on all first articles for Purchasing Department from outside vendors.
  • Check and validate a sample from each received manufactured part from outside vendors.
  • Check and validate all first articles from Accutek machine shop.
  • Check and validate a sample from each completed job from the machine shop.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze problems/issues with finished Accutek assemblies, sub-assemblies, and machines. Report findings and solutions. Update machine drawings.

 

Applications Engineer

  • Assist Sales Team Members with common applications and machine matching.
  • Evaluate or assign other members of the Engineering team to evaluate samples with Sales Team Members and determine the correct assemblies/machines for the application.
  • Sign off on all custom/engineering projects based on recommendations provided to Sales Team Members.
  • Upon receipt of Production paperwork, re-evaluate the samples and application for proposed equipment. 
  • Provide engineering drawings and designs for common machines to the Production Manager for manufacture.
  • Upon completion of manufacture, assist in testing custom equipment and provide training to customers. Assist in writing any Operations Manual and Quality Control Sign-Off Sheet.
  • Provide after-sale troubleshooting assistance for custom equipment.

 

Technical Assistance

  • Help provide telephone technical assistance for all machinery.
  • Help develop and maintain a troubleshooting log and guide for technical support calls and future Technical Support Department.
  • Assist with on-site customer training on custom equipment.
  • Provide setup, service, training, and operational guidance at customer’s location (Voluntary).

 

Job Requirements:

Job Description:

 

The Engineering position will be responsible for designing and drafting new packaging machinery, improving on existing machinery, and updating drawings. The engineer will work closely with machine builders, the sales team, and the purchasing department to improve machine designs and their efficiency. The position will report to the Lead Engineer, Chief Engineer, and indirectly to the Production Manager.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Engineers and develops all manufactured machinery produced. 
  • Quality control and assurance of all machine parts during all phases of production.
  • Maintains and updates CAD drawings and schematics for all equipment manufactured.
  • Writes and assists in the production of manuals, spec. sheets, and related technical papers on all equipment manufactured on site.
  • Assembles custom equipment.
  • Assists sales reps with quoting custom equipment.

  • Tests and verifies custom equipment operation and standards that the customer and Engineer set.

Service Technician

Job Description:

The Service Technician will be responsible for incoming troubleshooting service calls via phone or video conference, inside and outside service repairs, and installations. 

This position will also provide service and support to our Production team by using electrical theory and related knowledge to fabricate and/or modify machinery. This applies to in-house or operational electrical machinery and in-field electrical control equipment. This position is fast-paced and requires a self-starter with a positive attitude.

 

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for diagnosing causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failures of operational equipment.
  • Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, automated motion controls, and other electrical equipment and components. 
  • Perform electrical testing and recommend replacement parts for machinery in the field or equipment serviced in-house.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and components sent to our facility. 
  • Perform service, installation, and training at customer’s facility.
  • Assist customers with telephone technical support.
  • Assist the Engineering Department in creating solutions to problems that occur in the manufacturing and automation process.

Maintain quality assurance so Accutek parts are built per customer and company requirements. This position is responsible for quickly fabricating quality machines and training employees. 

 

Machinist Job Duties:

  • Perform quality inspections of all parts and sub-assemblies produced.
  • Use approved plans and documentation. Draw proper parts and materials from inventory for each part to be manufactured.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked area.
  • Update and maintain all current documentation for accuracy including drawings, BOMs, and process procedures.
  • Keep all timekeeping forms up to date daily.
  • Perform preventative maintenance promptly as prescribed in the manufacturer’s manual.
  • Create, maintain, and manage an internal tracking program so all parts are fabricated. Verify the correct dimensions.
  • Clean, organize, and perform general upkeep of the work area. Manage the personnel assigned to the area and report parts deficiencies.

This position is responsible for the timely fabricated quality of machines and training of employees. Must be able to program or work with the Haas Super Speed Vertical Machining Center (HAAS VF-3SS CNC Machine).

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform quality inspections of all parts and sub-assemblies produced in the area.
  • Use approved plans and documentation; draw proper parts and materials from inventory for manufactured parts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Update and maintain all current documentation for accuracy including drawings, BOMs and process procedures.

The Sheet Metal Fabricator will work closely with the Machine Shop Lead so all machine shop fabricated parts and newly designed parts and assemblies are fabricated to Accutek’s high standards. 

The Sheet Metal Fabricator performs quality assurance so Accutek parts are built per customer and company requirements. The position fabricates sheet metal to specifications. This position reports to the Machine Shop Lead and (indirectly) to the Production Manager.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform quality inspections of all parts produced in the area.
  • Uses approved plans and documentation to draw proper parts and materials from inventory for each part to be manufactured.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Update and maintain all current documentation for accuracy.
  • Keep all timekeeping forms up to date daily.
  • Perform preventative maintenance promptly as prescribed in the manufacturer’s manual.
  • Responsible for the quality manufacture using approved documentation and procedures within tolerances set forth by the engineer.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all work to the highest quality.
  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all machines.
  • Responsible for fabricating parts in the machine shop and scheduling said fabrication.

The Welders work closely with the Machine Shop Lead to fabricate all machine shop parts and newly designed parts per Accutek’s high standards. 

Welders are responsible for quality assurance so Accutek parts are built per customer and company requirements and specifications. Welding is focused on Stainless Steel TIG Welding. Welder positions can work in the machine shop and learn manual mill and lathe machining. This position reports to the Machine Shop Lead and (indirectly) to the Production Manager   

 

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the quality manufacture using approved documentation and procedures within tolerances set forth by the Engineer.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all work to the highest quality.
  • Fabricates and schedules the fabrication of parts in the machine shop. 
  • Uses approved plans and documentation to draw proper parts and materials from inventory for manufacturing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Update and maintain all current documentation for accuracy.
  • Perform quality inspections of all parts produced in the area.
