Semi-automatic

Accutek SVF Series Piston filling Machines are ideal for filling pastes, creams, lotions, gels, and products that have large particulates or chunks. The SVF Series piston fillers can be used to fill thin products as well. This type of piston filler can achieve a maximum fill rate of up to 30 containers per minute. These fillers are all pneumatic and do not require a hopper although they are available. Cleaning is a simple process, no tools are required. Fill volumes are adjustable from 1/8 oz. to 1 gallon depending on the size of the product cylinder and piston.

SVF Series

Accutek’s Semi-Automatic Volumetric Fillers (SVF) are piston fillers that accurately deliver a measured volume of product to each container. The accuracy of these machines ensures bottom line savings by reducing the amount of product that is used as overfill.

Semi-automatic piston fillers are a necessity in many production line filling processes. If you’re looking for piston filling machines that will get the job done accurately, quickly, and hygienically, one of the Accutek semi-automatic piston filling machines is the perfect solution.

Suitable for a Wide Range of Different Filling Machine Applications

One of the main benefits of the filling machines’ design is its versatility. Once you’ve invested in an SVF Series piston filling machine or an E-SPF (All Electric Servo Driven Filler), it can be used for multiple applications, as required. If you want to open up a fresh product line or alter the way in which you operate, the semi-automatic piston filler can be easily repurposed.

The piston filling machine is capable of delivering accurately measured doses of:

  • liquids
  • viscous products
  • pastes
  • creams
  • lotions
  • chunks
  • particulate products
  • pastes

Note that it doesn’t need to be used with a hopper – the substance can be accurately dispensed using the filler alone, or a hopper can be incorporated if required.

Ideal for use in the food preparation and chemical product industry, a filler can also be used by industries including:

  • Pharmaceutical businesses.
  • Beverage industries.
  • Cosmetics.
  • A range of other consumer products.

A Piston Filler Suitable for Food-Grade use

Hygienic

Piston fillers are designed to be non-toxic and can be easily cleaned. For these reasons, it’s ideal for environments where food-grade levels of mechanization are required. The filling machine can be cleaned without the use of tools, reducing labor costs and minimizing the risk of any unwanted contaminants entering the production system.

Long-lasting

Piston fillers are designed and constructed to demanding specifications, using high-grade materials that are chosen for their longevity. If correctly maintained, a piston filler will last for literally decades. Immune to rust, deterioration due to sunlight, or biological deterioration, piston fillers are a piece of plant that requires minimal maintenance to keep working smoothly. This reduces downtime at the same time as maximizing production capacity.

In the event that the filler is no longer required, a stainless steel construction results in a product that will hold its value in the event that resale is desirable.

Designed for Accuracy

The liquid volumetric piston filler is probably the most accurate method of liquid/semi-solid/solid dispensing available on the market. Gravity suction is used to pull the substance down into the piston and cylinder mechanism. Once there, it is measured, before being dispensed into the required container.

Accurate measurement is essential for several reasons, not least of which is the need for consistency in product volume – if a customer is paying for 1oz of a product, that is what they need to receive.

The piston fillers we provide are accurate from a fraction of an ounce (0.1ml) right the way up to a gallon. The quantity dispensed can be altered as frequently as needed, further increasing the versatility of the filler.  The reliability of the piston filler in maintaining an accurate output, even when multiple containers are being filled at once (the Accu-Doser piston filler, for example, can fill up to eight vials, tubes, or other containers with a fixed quantity of product simultaneously).

The accuracy that pneumatic action volumetric piston machines, such as the SVF Series, demonstrates is an important cost management tool. Overfill is eliminated, creating significant cost savings over time as there is minimal wastage.

The reduction in waste that introducing a position filling machine into your operation can bring is one of the key reasons why businesses decide to purchase. In many operations, the cost of the volumetric piston filler is swiftly recouped through the dramatic reduction in overfill which its installation brings.

The Difference Between Semi-Automatic Filling Machines and an Automatic Piston Filler

Semi-Automatic filling machines require some manual input – typically containers must be placed under the dispensing mechanism, then removed once the filling has occurred. In contrast, a fully automatic filling machine will incorporate plant that automatically brings the containers to the piston filler, keeps them in place whilst filling is going on, then automatically removes the containers and takes them on to the next stage of the operation.

If you’re looking for an adaptable, cost-effective piece of filling equipment that is highly likely to achieve cost savings in your operation, one of the Accutek semi-automatic piston filler options could be the perfect solution.
